This one section allows you to significantly make changes across all of Hike. To make the most of Hike, we recommend you check all the settings listed here.
We will go through the various sections, explaining what each item does.
YOUR STORE DETAILS
Trading nameThe trading name of your business, this can be edited at any time, however, you may need to separately update your receipt to reflect the changes
Cloud addressThe cloud address cannot be changed. This is the URL web address you use to sign in, it is the reference against which we store all your data.
If you absolutely need this changed, contact our support team to discuss further.
Click the COPY button to copy your cloud address, so you can easily paste into other documents, such as instructions to staff how to sign in to Hike.
LanguageUse the drop down menu to choose your preferred language
CurrencyUse the drop down menu to choose your currency
Note you can only choose one currency, Hike currently does not process across multiple currencies
Time zoneUse the drop down menu to choose your time zone
Note the time zone helps confirm time periods across a range of areas, such as rosters or reports
Either tick the box to activate, or un-tick to deactivate
Show tax inclusive prices
- Tick this box to have tax included in sale price, or
- Untick to have tax added to sale price
Activate tips/surchargeTicking this box will then display tips/surcharge on the Enter Sale screen in the sales cart, where you may add tips to the final price
Round-off totals to nearest 0.05Ticking this box rounds up to the nearest 0.05
Activate ‘on account’ saleTicking this box allows customers to purchase On Account
Activate lay-byTicking this box allows customers to purchase by lay-by
Send 'out of stock' email notificationsTicking this box will trigger Hike to send an email to the account creator when ever a product is out of stock
Prompt to print receipt on every saleTicking this box prompts to print a merchant copy of the receipt every time (you are then offered to email or print customer copy)
Send ‘sync log’ notifications by emailTicking this box will trigger Hike to send an email to the account creator on a daily basis to confirm the sync to third party programs took place
Park paid orders for fulfilmentTicking this box forces all completed orders to appear in Sales History, with the status AWAITING FULFILMENT. May be relevant where a store sells items, but the customer returns to collect, and the store needs to confirm collection
Deactivate customer welcome emailsTicking this box stops a welcome email being sent to every new customer that is added to Hike
Switch user after each saleTicking this box logs the User out after every sale, forcing the user to sign in with their PIN to complete the next sale. May be relevant where staff are paid by commission, to ensure the right staff User is linked to the sale
- Click on the image box to be prompted to select image
- You can select a JPG/JPEG/PNG file with a maximum 1MB size
- Use the capture box to select the image from your file, that you want to appear on the receipt
- Click the SAVE button when done
- Or, click on the remove button to delete the logo image
Note, all thermal receipt printers print in black and white, so please consider how your logo will look in grey render.
